Many Countries do not require Visa to enter the Bahamas, however: in many cases a US Transit Visa is required if the connection flight is through a US city like Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

If you cannot get a direct flight the the Bahamas we recommend connection flights though Jamaica or the Cayman Islands.

Asking for a tourist Visa is often more successful.

All invitation letters will come from the Bahamas since the event is taking place there. Please follow the suggestions set forth bellow to facilitate the process:

• Start the process at least 4 months in advance
• If you and your team need a Visa to enter the Bahamas please let us know well in advance
• Try to go through Jamaica or the Cayman Islands for your connection flights
• If you need to go through a US city you will be required to obtain a US Transit Visa. Again, provide us with the information as soon as possible.

We need the following information from you:

1. Name of School or Club
2. Name of Team Leader, Date of Birth and Passport #
3. The name of each Athlete, Date of Birth and Passport #

Please keep in mind that we receive hundreds of requests for invitation letters. We can no longer send more than one invitation letter for a team so you must make sure that your send us the correct information the first time. NO SECOND LETTER WILL BE SENT! So we urge you to make your team selection carefully and that the information you provide is correct!
