Cardio Tai‐chi and Self Defense” Dr.Chi‐hsiu D.Weng

Cardio Tai‐chi combines the benefits of wellness, fitness, self‐defense, healing, and recreation to provide a holistic life style of wellbeing. In regards to self‐defense and martial arts Cardio Tai‐chi follows Tai‐chi principle and utilizes all the necessary combat techniques to solve any encounter. In this seminar Dr.Weng will introduce his Chang’s Style Tai‐chi applications classified into three major countering distances: close, middle, and far range represented by the geometric shapes of circle, triangle, and square. These Tai‐chi techniques applied include: Cloud Hand, Grasping Bird’s Tail, Golden Rooster Standing on One Leg, Playing the Fiddle, White Crane Spreads Its Wings, and Frog Kicks‐‐‐.
Attendants of this seminar will be able to use these techniques for solving the three major distance encounter. The way to combine fitness training for cardio‐vascular improvement with Tai‐chi are also addressed in this seminar.
