GuiXiang Kan:

Professor, Chinese Wushu 9 Duan, was born on July 6th, 1940 at Qiyi, Henan province, China. She graduated from Beijing Physical Education University in 1965, was accredited as national Wushu / Tai Chi Judge, and one of the founders of Beijing Chen-Style Tai Chi Institute. She was elected as the board director of Beijing Wushu Association, the vice chief secretary of Beijing Chen-Style Tai Chi Institute, and the guide great teacher of Wushu Master Degree. Master Kan was assigned many times to be the great teacher of national or international classes for Wushu / Tai Chi trainers, athletes and judges, hosted by General Athlete Sport Bureau of China and by Beijing Physical Education University. As a Chinese Wushu / Tai Chi expert, she was sent to Japan to teach special Tai Chi series for competition. After that, she was invited to Australia, Switzerland, The U.S., Norway, Spain, Belgium, France, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and Hong Kong to teach Tai Chi and to judge competitions. She trained bunch of outstanding Tai Chi athletes and judges throughout China and the world. She has written more than 10 books of Tai Chi, and participated the writing for more than 20 books of Tai Chi, the best of them are 《Chen-Style 36 Chuan and Sword》,《Chen-Style Series for Competition》,《Tai Chi Sword 42 Movements》,《Wushu Class Certification in China》, and so on. Recently, Master Kan has established Dong Yue Tai Chi series and invented multi-functional spear with three pieces with Professor Men, HuiFeng.

Master Kan, GuiXiang has high level of attainments in Chen-Style Tai Chi mainly because she learned Chen-Style Tai Chi from Master Tian, XiuChen directly, who, in turn, was the one of the couple of outstanding students of Chen-Style Tai Chi Master Chen, FaKe. Master Kan, GuiXiang inherited the traditional techniques, and based on it she made innovations and compiled traditional techniques into 《Chen-Style Simplified Chuan and Sword 36 Movements》and《Chen-Style Series for Competition》, which were with more standard movement techniques and newer, more scientific compilation, and gained favorable comments throughout the world. They were translated to more than 10 different languages.

Now a days, Master Kan, GuiXiang is continuously dedicating her life to enrich Tai Chi sports and to expand Tai Chi movements to all of the world.
