JT1 - Qin Na: The Chinese Art of Joint Locking

Jason Tsou does not teach Qin Na by asking the student to learn a number of techniques. Instead he lays out in a clear and concise manner the basic principles that allow us to control energy. CWNLU1 - Wudang Sword- Basic 13 Techniques and Applications

Wudang Sword is arguably the most famous and respected style of swordplay in Chinese history. It has a lineage reaching back more than five hundred years to the Ming dynasty, has been written about in dozens of Chinese martial arts novels, and has been featured in many Gong Fu movies, most notably An Lee’s Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.  There are numerous styles of swordplay originating from Wudang Mountain.  Of these styles, the techniques originating from the Dan Pai (Sect) of Wudang are respected as a treasure in the martial arts world. Wudang Sword has a reputation of being graceful in movements, and yet very fast and lethal when using it for fighting. Read more....



CWNLU2 - Bagua Zhang Applications and Fighting Techniques

Baguazhang is one of the three main boxing styles in Chinese internal martial arts, with the other two being Taijiquan and Xingyiquan.  It is featured by circular walking, constant and fast changing of palm/fist striking techniques as well as the dragon like strong and flexible body movements. It is known as very effective and lethal in dealing with multiple opponents when in fighting situations.  Both instructors of this seminar are  6th generation disciples of Beijing Gao (Gao Zi-Ying) Style Baguazhang. Beijing Gao style Baguazhang focuses a lot on Tuishou and applications. In the seminar, students will go through a series of drills conducted by pairing up with a partner or multiple partners.   The footwork, palm/fist striking, body moving, take down techniques will be clearly explained and taught.

Allowing the opponent to push into your root can make you stronger if you can absorb the force rather than deflect it away. Use the opponents force, rather than your own effort; to uproot them.
