SEMINAR SCHEDULE


Master Chen Huixian Bio

CH1 - "Chen Taijiquan Ji Ben Gong (Part I)
Presented : Friday 6-7:00pm
CH2 - "Chen Taijiquan Ji Ben Gong (Part II)
Presented : Friday 7-8:00pm

Offered in Two Parts - In this workshop, Master Chen will be reviewing the basic fundamentals of Chen style Taijiquan. This will include figure-eight weight-shifting with Dan Tien rotation, Silk Reeling and Spiral Energy exercises, and Zhuan Zhang standing post training. In addition, Master Chen will work with seminar participants to help to maintain the correct “Shen Fa” or “Body Mechanics” required of Chen Taijiquan. She will also help you understand how to find and keep “Peng Jin” or “Peng Energy” in your postures and movements."

Master Ray Hildreth Bio

RH1 - Dragon & Snake Chi Kung
Presented: Friday 6-7:00pm

Derived from Hung Gar’s Ten Forms Set, created by Wong Fei Hung, this workshop will embrace the spirit of the Dragon and philosophy of the Snake.  It uses a combination of Dynamic Tension Movements, Special Breathing Techniques and Special Sounds that stimulate internal organs to unite one’s external and internal strength as it develops and circulates Chi throughout the body. People that practice these exercises, in addition to being very healthy, are able to perform great feats of strength such as bending iron re-bar placed against their throat or breaking objects struck against their body. Master Chun Man Sit Bio

CM1 - Secrets of Taiji Force – Jin
Presented: Friday 7-8:00pm

Taiji Force, or Hun Yuan Jin, is the Holy Grail for Taiji players. It is when softness can overcome hardness, 4 0z. can move 1000 lbs, and the old can defeat the young and strong.

Combining the Tao Te Ching with Newton’s laws of motion and gravity, Sifu Sit will teach the principles of Taiji Force in a simple and understandable manner. He will also teach training drills that guarantee great result in a short time. (All styles welcome)

PK1 - Pak Mei Foundational Training
Presented: Friday 6-7:00pm

Intro of Pak Mei core form and why its the core form with quick demo (5 minutes). Opening the Pak Mei horse stance: Teaching of Pak Mei's breath work floating" (fou), "sinking" (chum), "swallowing" (tun) and "spitting" (tou) and their combinations: Pak Mei hip loosening drill: Walking the Pak Mei Horse Stance: Explanations of the many hidden ghost hands and phoenix knuckle of Pak Mei: Explanation of the 6 sources of strength leading to 8 motions to develop Pak Mei Scared power.

PK2 - Pak Mei Core form and Drills

Learn Pak Mei's core form Jik Bo Kuen and 2 man training drills to build sensitivity timing iron body when all put together properly is internal adding longevity to ones life.
Through Pak Mei's core form Jik Bo Kuen 1 can live long enough for your eyebrows to turn white(30 minutes)

Seminars and Workshops

Every tournament offers seminars and workshops with renowned masters and teachers on different styles, forms, weapons and techniques. These seminars and workshops provide an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and expertise in Chinese martial arts.

What is a seminar?

A seminar consists of a technical, theoretical, historical or philosophical oral presentation by a master or teacher on a given style or specialization. Participants should come prepared to take notes.

What is a workshop?

A workshop consists of dynamic physical participation with a master or teacher on a given style or specialization.

Who may participate?

Anyone who is keenly interested in the subject presented by any given master or teacher is able to participate. Once the seminar and workshop schedule for the upcoming tournament is posted, simply fill out the registration form with the codes for each seminar and mail it in.

You can download the registration form as soon as the schedule is available.

Who are the facilitators?

The facilitators of each seminar or workshop are among the world's most experienced and respected masters and teachers of CMA. Their ability and passion for imparting their knowledge and experience to others makes these training sessions extremely valuable and memorable.

Do you want to be a facilitator in the next tournament?

If you are a leading master or teacher of a certain style or specialize in a certain area or skill in Chinese martial arts and have not previously offered seminars or workshops at our tournaments, you can fill out and mail the downloadable form to the circuit headquarters (coming soon).

While we cannot guarantee that you will be able to present a seminar in the next upcoming tournament, we will give you every consideration.

Friday: 4:00pm to 9:00 pm Sunday: 8:00am to 11:00am

In order to allow for ample promotion time, we encourage all masters and teachers who will be presenting seminars or workshops to select their topic and to send complete information by email to < > as soon as possible.

We need the following:

  • A photo with a brief bio (limited to 100 words)
  • Seminar or workshop description
  • Preferred time for teaching

Seminars and workshops will be promoted on this website, in forthcoming issues of Inside Kung-Fu magazine and relevant correspondence. It will serve you well to provide us with the needed information at least four months in advance of a scheduled tournament. The earlier we can post and advertise your seminar or workshop, the more exposure you will receive.
