Seminars and Workshops

Every tournament offers seminars and workshops with renowned masters and teachers on different styles, forms, weapons and techniques. These seminars and workshops provide an excellent opportunity to enhance your knowledge and expertise in Chinese martial arts.

What is a seminar?

A seminar consists of a technical, theoretical, historical or philosophical oral presentation by a master or teacher on a given style or specialization. Participants should come prepared to take notes.

What is a workshop?

A workshop consists of dynamic physical participation with a master or teacher on a given style or specialization.

Who may participate?

Anyone who is keenly interested in the subject presented by any given master or teacher is able to participate. Once the seminar and workshop schedule for the upcoming tournament is posted, simply fill out the registration form with the codes for each seminar and mail it in.

You can download the registration form as soon as the schedule is available.

Who are the facilitators?

The facilitators of each seminar or workshop are among the world's most experienced and respected masters and teachers of CMA. Their ability and passion for imparting their knowledge and experience to others makes these training sessions extremely valuable and memorable.

Do you want to be a facilitator in the next tournament?

If you are a leading master or teacher of a certain style or specialize in a certain area or skill in Chinese martial arts and have not previously offered seminars or workshops at our tournaments, you can fill out and mail the downloadable form to the circuit headquarters (coming soon).

While we cannot guarantee that you will be able to present a seminar in the next upcoming tournament, we will give you every consideration.

What are the available times for seminars and workshops?

Friday: 4:00pm to 9:00 pm Sunday: 8:00am to 11:00am

A Special Message to Seminar and Workshop Facilitators:

In order to allow for ample promotion time, we encourage all masters and teachers who will be presenting seminars or workshops to select their topic and to send complete information by email to < > as soon as possible.

We need the following:

  • A photo with a brief bio (limited to 100 words)
  • Seminar or workshop description
  • Preferred time for teaching

Seminars and workshops will be promoted on this website, in forthcoming issues of Inside Kung-Fu magazine and relevant correspondence. It will serve you well to provide us with the needed information at least four months in advance of a scheduled tournament. The earlier we can post and advertise your seminar or workshop, the more exposure you will receive.
