2011 "New England" Championship Report
Wow!!!
The Inaugural New England Chinese Martial Arts Championship which was held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, MA on Saturday, July 30th, 2011 was a huge success.

A packed house of spectators and nearly 400 competitors from the New England states, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York and as far away as Florida and Texas took part in the championship.
All the major schools from the Boston area were represented and many sent strong contingents of competitors. ICMAC has felt all along that this is an important area for Chinese martial arts and that this was an important stop on our circuit.

Here are some comments from attendees:
- Congratulations on a successful tournament in Boston. Always glad to see all the support, friendship, and camaraderie between schools, styles, teachers, and students.I believe "friendship through martial arts", a strong network, and an indivisible community across all of our styles and backgrounds are exactly what we need to keep pushing for in this modern day to further develop, strengthen, and deepen martial arts to the level it once was. It was fantastic to see how this event turned out.

- My daughter competed in your just completed Boston Kung Fu Championship - her first ICMAC tournament. It was a perfect example of the Kung Fu virtues we’re learning at our school. The event paid homage to tradition, demanded that each competitor bring forth her or his best, treated every spectator and participant with the highest respect, and while celebrating those who won medals, demonstrated that every competitor on that floor was a winner. Congratulations to you and all those other volunteers who made this experience so successful!

- I just wanted to take a moment to personally thank you for bringing the ICMAC to Boston . Though I have only been training for one year, my love for the Chinese Martial Arts is already strong, and my experience at ICMAC Boston was a true affirmation of the beauty and importance of this art. To see so many passionate individuals all together in one place was truly inspiring. Next year's competition cant come soon enough. Those that share the same values are friends, those that share the same passion are family.

- I wanted to thank you for allowing me to be part of the IMAC. This was the first time I have competed and had a great time. I have been a spectator at a few tournaments in the past and I have to say this was by far the best! What a Great tournament to say the least!

- The Inaugural 2011 ICMAC event in Boston was the largest turn out I have ever witnessed for a first time tournament; I have no doubt that it will continue to pick up steam and soon become one of the circuit's most prominent championships!
